Real Madrid Transfer News: Dias Targeted, Bernardo Silva Confirmed, Liverpool Chase Diomande

real madrid transfer news

Real Madrid’s summer transfer business is heating up fast. According to The Daily Mirror, Los Blancos are weighing a €90 million move for Manchester City and Portugal defender Rúben Dias, 29, as they look to add experience and leadership at the back. Dias is contracted until June 2029 and remains a key figure at the Etihad, but Madrid are monitoring his situation closely ahead of the new campaign.

Real Madrid Transfer News: Big Targets, Big Money and Confirmed Deals

As if the Dias pursuit wasn’t enough, Madrid have already got one bit of business over the line — and it’s a statement signing. Bernardo Silva has joined on a two-year contract after leaving Manchester City on a free, bringing 15 major honours to the Bernabéu. He’ll link up with the squad following Portugal’s World Cup campaign. Meanwhile, BBC Sport and multiple outlets are tracking another potential Madridista departure — Eduardo Camavinga. Inter president Giuseppe Marotta reportedly held talks with Florentino Pérez during a Bernabéu visit, with the 2026 World Cup absentee high on the agenda under incoming head coach José Mourinho.

Elsewhere in the capital, Arsenal have moved sharply to the front of the queue for Roma midfielder Manu Koné, reportedly reaching an agreement with the France international’s representatives, per Gazzetta dello Sport. The Premier League champions pipped Atlético Madrid to pole position, though Roma are holding firm at around €50 million.

Liverpool Accelerate Diomande Pursuit as PSG Circle

Over at Anfield, new Reds boss Andoni Iraola is making his mark on recruitment early doors. Liverpool are pushing hard to secure RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, 19, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, according to TEAMtalk. Iraola has personally backed the move, viewing the Ivory Coast international as a perfect fit for his attacking setup. The sticking point? Leipzig want in the region of €130 million — serious money for a teenager, however exceptional.

Additionally, ESPN confirmed OL Lyonnes have signed Scotland international Caroline Weir on a three-year deal after her departure from Real Madrid. Tottenham, meanwhile, wrapped up a £52 million deal for Brighton centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke with personal terms imminent, and have also entered the race for Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali — though that one could cost north of £100 million, with United, Arsenal and City all circling. Ruben Amorim takes the AC Milan hotseat after his January sacking by Manchester United, while Marcus Rashford carries a £40 million price tag — with moves to Liverpool and City firmly ruled out after Barcelona passed on a permanent deal.
