CW 166’s weigh-ins just wrapped up at San Diego’s Sycuan Casino Resort, setting the stage for tonights showdown.
The featherweight headliner is a go. Wilson Reis and Toby Misech hit the mark. Reis, eyeing a comeback in the 145lb class since March 2022, aims to bounce back from a recent loss. Misech, hungry for his ninth knockout, gears up for his first win in those iconic yellow gloves.
In the co-main event, Mason ‘The Dragon’ Jones, a UFC vet and ex-CW double champ, nailed the 156lb lightweight limit. His opponent, Bryce Logan, did the same.
There’s a setback, though. Devin Goodale missed weight for his welterweight clash against Bobby Winther (169.5lbs), coming in at 173.4lbs. The bout’s still on, but Goodale faces a 20% purse penalty from the California State Athletic Commission.
A late twist hit the card. The planned 195lbs catchweight bout between Ilias Faquiri and Chace Eskam is off. Eskam’s out on medical advice.
